We played Beaver today and as I anticipated it was our toughest game of the season to date. We barely lost 3-2 to a bigger and way more experienced team. 7 of their 11 starters are seniors, as compared to our line up that consisted of 1 senior, 5 juniors, 2 sophs, and 3 freshmen.
If you have ever seen Cozette's locker or notebooks you know that one of her favorite players to watch/drool over is David Beckam and she would have made him proud today. Cozette put two beautiful free kicks in the back of the net for us.
The defense was under constant attack tonight and they held their own. We all need to improve on our first touch and our ability to anticipate, but both of those things we'll come with time. As with the Gunnison game we saw glimpses of brilliance.
